Introductory Meeting
As part of our urgent humanitarian response in North Darfur, and in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the generous support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), we are proud to announce the launch of a new project to provide Emergency Shelter Materials for families affected by conflict in Tawila (North Darfur), Jaldo (West Jebel Marra), and Wadi Saleh (Central Darfur).

The project aims to support 800 households affected by the ongoing conflict in Sudan with essential emergency shelter kits.
Last week, our team held the first introductory meeting at Tawila Al-Omda Camp. The meeting aimed to introduce the project, highlight its donors and implementers, and clarify the selection criteria for the beneficiary families. The meeting was attended by the DCES team, community leaders from the targeted areas, women’s representatives, humanitarian affairs officers, and a number of volunteers. The participants successfully formed local committees to support and oversee the implementation of the project activities.
In its first phase, the project aims to distribute 600 emergency shelter kits in Tawila Al-Omda camp.
