The Second Introductory Meeting – Emergency Shelter Project | Juldo, Golo Locality, Central Darfur

“humanitarian action is not just about aid, but about dignity, resilience, and solidarity”

In continuation of our humanitarian efforts to support conflict-affected populations in Sudan, and with generous support from USAID Sudan, USAID – US Agency for International Development, and IOM Sudan, our organization convened the 2nd Introductory Meeting for the Emergency Shelter Project in Juldo, Golo Locality, Central Darfur.

The project is a vital step in addressing the urgent needs of 100 vulnerable households affected by conflict. It aims to provide dignified emergency shelter kits, designed not only to offer physical protection but also to help restore a sense of stability, security, and hope for displaced families.

During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was delivered outlining the implementation phases, beneficiary selection criteria, and distribution methodology. This transparent approach ensures all stakeholders are well-informed and engaged in the process, promoting mutual understanding and trust.

Importantly, the session facilitated open dialogue with community representatives, allowing participants to voice concerns, share local insights, and contribute to refining the project’s delivery. Inclusivity, transparency, and shared responsibility were highlighted as guiding principles in both planning and execution.

Participants included local leaders, women’s representatives, youth volunteers, and humanitarian partners, all of whom play a pivotal role in shaping and sustaining effective responses. Their active involvement reaffirmed the value of community-based committees in enhancing accountability, coordination, and local ownership of the project.

As we move forward, we remain committed to working hand in hand with the communities we serve, ensuring that humanitarian action is not just about aid, but about dignity, resilience, and solidarity.
