Funded by the IOM-Sudan Office and the #Republic_of_Korea_(ROK) and as part of the efforts of the DECS team to respond to the needs of affected families, we are pleased to announce the launch of the first activities of our #Urgent_Care_for_All project, which began with an introductory meeting. The meeting was attended by members of DECS team, local youth volunteers, and decision-makers from the area. The attendees discussed various topics, starting with an introduction about the center and the project, its objectives, and the target families, as well as the supporting role of the local community, including organizations, individuals, and families. The meeting also succeeded in forming a local committee from the community members to assist in following up and implementing the project activities.
In phase “A” of the project:
πOur goal: To provide shelter materials.
π§βπ§βπ§βπ§Beneficiaries: 150 newly displaced families.
πLocation: Murtal village, Tawila locality, North Darfur state.
The #Urgent_Care_for_All project represents a critical step toward providing immediate safety and support to affected and vulnerable families in under-supported localities, such as #Tawila and #Daralsalam in #North_Darfur_State.
At DECS, we aim to create a model of collective action and social responsibility that brings everyone together to build a safer and more stable future for all.
